Jonathan is a freelance photographer currently based in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is a graduate of the International Center of Photography in New York, NY, where he was awarded a scholarship from The New York Times. While attending ICP, Jonathan interned with Ron Haviv of VII. He was recently named a selected winner for the Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward 2009. He attended the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2008 where he won an award from the Associated Press. He was also honored by International Photography Awards in 2009 for his work in Afghanistan and he was exhibited in 2008 at the Pingyao Photo Festival in China. Jonathan also holds an M.A. in print journalism from New York University.
